Introduction
Printing on paper is dependent on the physical and chemical characteristics of the raw materials used in the ink and the paper. Interaction between the individual components make the printing process so complex.
Many paper and coating formulations as well as inks are developed on the basis of an empirical trial-and-error approach.
Simulating various parameters with close correlation to reality.
Measuring printability on paper can be divided in two major aspects:
- ink adhesion on paper
- how does the ink film develop on the paper surface
- other aspects are the optical characteristics of the ink and paper and how the image is produced.
With the Universal Testprinter you are provided with maximum flexibility in simulating various process parameters in a full size press with the closest correlation to reality.
