Lithoscope
The Lithoscope is built on the platform of a standard tackmeter. It offers the possibility to study ink/fount compatibility at high speeds. At higher speeds we create increased shear. This condition is required if we want to make reliable predictions about the cleaning ability of a certain ink/fount combination.
In other words: we can measure the exact volume of fount which is required to open the plate at start-up and the total fount flow which is needed to keep the offset plate open at press conditions. The test result is presented as a "fount consumption curve" for a given ink/fount combination.
The Lithoscope features state-of-the art technology. It combines very precise spray dampening with vision technology and modern Windows based data acquisition software with statistical functionality.
The Lithoscope is also available as a self contained and inexpensive add-on technology. It can be fitted to any Tack-O-Scope, Protack or Tackometer of Testprint, regardless of its age.
With this innovative instrument we managed yet again to close the technology gap between the laboratory and the press by offering improved levels of predictability to formulators of inks and fountain solutions.
